Picoux Films is a production company and post production studio based in Antwerp, cofounded by director and artist Oscar Spierenburg in 2010 and later joined by producer Willemijn de Krey. We develop and create feature films as well as documentaries and shorts that are frequently related to art, literature or poetry.

Oscar Spierenburg

Producer/Director

(1981) is a Dutch/Belgian artist as well as an auto didactic filmmaker. He co-founded Picoux Films in 2010 as an independent production company and produced several films including features, shorts and documentaries.<br /> Oscar is also the founder of the highly successful and award winning Apertus – open source cinema project, an international platform for filmmakers creating open and affordable technology (like the AXIOM camera) for independent filmmakers.

Willemijn de Krey

Producer

(1982) is our main producer at Picoux Films. She joined Picoux since 2013 and supervised various productions from start to finish. De Krey is also working as an artist, graduated from the art academy in 2011, which ensures her strong artistic involvement as producer in the projects including the casting and location choices. De Krey is the driving force behiond all our productions. All of the films are connected to art or literature .

Tobias Spierenburg

Director / Composer

Tobias was born in an artist family from Haarlem, The Netherlands in 1977. He studied at The Hague Royal School of Arts in the Netherlands and then at Antwerp Royal School of Arts in Belgium. After twelve years in Belgium, he settled in Paris in 2008. He works either in Paris or in Haute-Marne (country side East from Paris).
